Hi,

I am starting to look at migrating some Tetra-WebBBS 6.22 boards to perlB. I have installed perlB on my test server, recently upgraded to Ubuntu 20.04.01 LTS which runs Perl 5.30.0. On trying to make a test posting, the following error messages were thrown up:

[Sat Jul 25 12:07:01.778975 2020] [cgi:error] [pid 1670] [client 172.16.250.12:64264] AH01215: $* is no longer supported as of Perl 5.30 at //pb-dist/pb-core/lib/webbbs_post.pl line 844.: //pb-dist/index.pl, referer: https:///pb-dist/index.pl?form=0
[Sat Jul 25 12:07:01.779184 2020] [cgi:error] [pid 1670] [client 172.16.250.12:64264] AH01215: Compilation failed in require at //pb-dist/pb-core/lib/webbbs_basic.pl line 91.: //pb-dist/index.pl, referer: https:///pb-dist/index.pl?form=0
[Sat Jul 25 12:07:01.780683 2020] [cgi:error] [pid 1670] [client 172.16.250.12:64264] End of script output before headers: index.pl, referer: https:///pb-dist/index.pl?form=0

The Tetra-WebBBS 6.22 board appears to be working fine in the same environment. It would appear that there are some issues to be resolved with this latest version of Perl. Having failed to make a posting, there is no data to allow further testing.
